Road to Law School

The decision to attend law school was one that I made towards the end of my high school career. I noticed that my interests lie in the study of social justice and accordingly I looked for a field that is based on the regulating order and maintaining a rational society. Accordingly, I became interested in the field of law. While in college, I have taken courses such as International law and geared my studies towards gaining a well rounded perspective on the American political system and its respective system of law. Upon finishing taking the LSAT, I began applying to law school. The final result was some rejections, a few waitlists, and acceptance to 6 schools amongst which are Connecticut Law School, Penn State, Quinnipiac, Pittsburgh , Rutgers University Law School-Camden, and Seton Hall. In recent weeks, I decided to attend Seton Hall university due to their proximity to New York City, reputation in corporate law, and the generous scholarship they have offered me. The process to gain admission and applying to law school was very tedious but eventually successful. The following is an excerpt from my personal statement with a link to the full document on the bottom.

"I never did get used to the sounds of bombs falling outside of our apartment in Afulah, Israel. Nor did I ever get used to my mother’s screams. In the middle of the night in 1992, I awoke to her panicked cries as she leaned over my sister, Marina, pleading with her to wake up. My mother feared that the gas from the falling rockets contained chemicals agents and may have seeped into the bedroom. As I watched my parents hurry to tape the windows shut and struggled to put on my gas mask, I finally understood the overpowering and disarming sentiment that comes with feeling constant insecurity."
